The EPF interest rate is one of the highest offered by any government savings scheme. It is also exempt from income tax. This makes EPF a very attractive investment option for employees.

PF subscribers do not need to travel anywhere to check the amount received as interest. You can check this amount from the comfort of your home in the following ways.

 2. Through EPFO ​​website
 3. Giving a mist call
 4. Send SMS

PF subscriber should give missed call to 011-22901406 from registered mobile number to get balance information through missed call. 

Or, you can check the amount in your account by visiting EPFO's official website (epfindia.gov.in). 

Then SMS to 7738299899 from mobile number registered with EPFO ​​to know via sms. For this, type EPFO ​​UAN LAN. Here LAN means language.

Here is a rough estimate of the total amount of interest paid by the government on employee accounts:

Number of employees: 6 crores
