What is Sharenting? Parents beware

Parents are making a huge mistake online without even realizing it. Parents don't realize that this affects their children greatly.

What is Sharenting? Parents beware
Sharenting risk

Is sharenting a good or bad thing?

Sharenting is where parents share information about their children online. Although discussions are held here and there, no one really cares about it. AI technologies such as DeepFake are said to make it worse.

What parents playfully share online about their child is likely to backfire in the future. Their data can be shared across the Internet, causing hacking, impersonation issues and serious privacy risks.

Experts predict that by 2030,

The majority of identity theft cases will be caused by the careless sharing of personal information. Parents proudly post online photos of their children taking them out and videos of them sending their children off to school on their first day. But this turns out to be a boon for identity theft fraudsters.

Perhaps when you playfully share a photo of your child online, what happens if someone takes it and uses DeepFake technology to match it with someone else's identity and surf the web? Now celebrities and actors and actresses are stuck in this kind of problem.

Owning is always a story

Do not allow yourself to do this in the hope that someone may want to take revenge on your children in the future. There's a lot going on in the internet that you don't even know about. There are also cases of taking a video and selling it to different platforms by changing the faces of many people in it.

Don't fall for such internet scams. Keeping in mind the future of your children, as far as possible do not share any video or photo of them on the internet. Just as adults' privacy is important online, so is children's privacy.
