During trading hours yesterday, the company's shares not only crossed the listed price as they touched Rs 895; Exceeds the price offered to policyholders.
The company's shares have gained 11 percent in the last one month alone. It has also increased by 43 percent in the last six months. Apart from this, the country has a high market value
LIC is on the verge of becoming a Public Sector Undertaking. Currently, SBI is at the top with a market capitalization of Rs 5.72 lakh crore. LIC is second with a market capitalization of Rs 5.64 lakh crore.
This is a significant improvement as only 3.50 percent of LIC's shares are being traded in the market. The company's share price rose 4.42 percent to settle at Rs 892.50 at the close of trading yesterday.
