Global crude oil prices were down 0.19 percent at USD 71.84 per barrel yesterday.

Rupee value

The Indian rupee was down 10 paise at Rs 83.79 against the US dollar.

During yesterday's trade, the Nifty fell 1.46 percent to 25,796.65 points as foreign investors began to sell stocks and exit; The Sensex fell 1.52 percent to 84,274.64 points. 

This was the worst fall in the stock market in the last two months.In the Nifty 50 index, all sectors except metals and media ended lower. In particular, auto sector stocks lost 2 percent and real estate, public and private banking sector stocks lost 1 percent in market value.
