Major IRCTC Update from July 15 Booking Tatkal Tickets Just Got Easier

Tatkal Tickets – Website Crashes

However, when trying to book Tatkal tickets during emergencies, the website would often crash suddenly, and delays would occur while entering CAPTCHA codes. These issues caused significant inconvenience to passengers.

To put an end to these problems, Indian Railways has completely revamped the IRCTC website using new technology. The "Beta version" of this new website, designed with AI technology, is set to officially launch on July 15.

IRCTC’s New Update

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently attended an event where students from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, explained in detail the technical difficulties they faced while booking tickets on the IRCTC website.

After listening to the students' grievances, Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw assured them that all these issues would be resolved, and the upgraded website would be launched by July 15. Great News from the Ministry of Railways

True to the Minister's statement, the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and IRCTC have collaborated with students from MNIT Jaipur to hold detailed consultations regarding this new beta version. The upcoming IRCTC platform aims to eliminate all existing glitches associated with ticket booking.

The booking time is set to be cut in half, and the old CAPTCHA verification method will be completely removed. Furthermore, the design will exclude unnecessary graphics and pop-up screens that typically slow down the website. This means passengers can book tickets easily by filling out just a few simple forms.

Railway Passengers Rejoice

Artificial Intelligence (AI) will inform passengers in advance whether a ticket is likely to be confirmed while they are attempting to book it. Seat availability details for all classes will be clearly displayed on a single screen.

Server capacity has been significantly enhanced to ensure the site operates smoothly and without interruption, even when hundreds of thousands of users access it simultaneously during peak Tatkal booking hours. It will soon be possible to book approximately 150,000 tickets within a single minute. This news has brought great joy to passengers!
